"Dragons"
Stemming from the word Draco, these majestic creatures have been a part of mythology and
middle earth for approximately 4,000 years.
Eastern and Western cultures have slightly different ideas about
them, but have both developed millions of
legends and stories pertaining to these mythological creatures. Some
societies believe them to be evil creatures that hoard great wealth, while others believe dragons to be healers and
protectors of the land. Which ever belief you choose to follow is your own, but one thing
that everyone seems to agree upon is that they are definitely both powerful and beautiful.
Dragons are typically described as medium to large reptilian
like creatures with a long tail, hard scales and hands with claws.
Many are also said to have wings and can fly over great distances. Other believe them to have
magical powers and some type of ability to emit fire, ice, poison etc from their mouths. They
also are said to come in several different colors which define their personality. Here are some of
the beliefs about a they're color and how it effects their personality.
BLUE DRAGON (DARK): Highly intelligent and hate to be interrupted while thinking.
They are said to be very fond of reading and very adept at magic which makes them very helpful (or very dangerous)
in Dungeons & Dragons.
BLUE DRAGON (LIGHT): Very friendly yet not so intelligent. Love to play in the clouds and have fun.
GREEN DRAGON (DARK): They are said to be in tune with the forces of nature and earth.
They are said to be very caring and are believed to have amazing magic healing powers and
create potion for curing all sorts of ailments also.
GREEN DRAGON (LIGHT): Excellent guards that are always alert and are not happy unless
they are busy. (Rumored to sleep with one eye open) They are not usually trustworthy of other and
have an excellent judge of character. They are one of the more dangerous types found in dungeons & dragons,
but often yield the greatest treasure.
ORANGE DRAGON: They are said to have great whit and
a short temper. The are also said to be the most artistic form of dragon and have great skill in both
artistic drawing and writing.
PURPLE DRAGON: These dragons are said to be extremely vibrant and boast great valor. It is
also said that they can be very dramatic and a bit pretentious at times also.
ROSE DRAGON: Very quiet and submissive creatures that use their ideas to create great things for
the world. Very selfless commonly use most of their time to help others.
WHITE DRAGON: Very graceful and beautiful creatures. Very noble by nature and highly intellectual.
They are said to be quite withdrawn and can often go into seclusion for decades at a time to think. Also one of the most dangerous
enemies in Dungeons & Dragons (unless you are lucky enough to own or train one).
YELLOW DRAGON: They are said to have a cheerful sunny attitude about life. They can often
be viewed as a being a bit carefree, but are always willing to lend a helping claw. In their later
years, they tend to become a bit more arrogant as well.
